JEE Main 2024 Fee Update: Reduced Costs for EWS and OBC with Registration Options

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has implemented significant changes to the Joint Entrance Examination - Main (JEE Main 2024) application process, with a particular focus on application fees for foreign candidates. Aspiring engineers can conveniently submit their JEE Main application via the official website, jeemain.nta.ac.in.

For male and female candidates from the general-EWS and OBC-NCL categories who select examination centers located outside India, the revised application fees are as follows: Rs 4,500 for male candidates and Rs 4,000 for female candidates. The deadline for JEE Main 2024 registration is November 30.

Furthermore, applicants now have various login options available for JEE 2024 registration. The NTA recommends using the following portals to initiate the registration process:

  1. DigiLocker account through the NAD portal.
  2. Academic Bank of Credits ID (ABC ID) via the ABC ID.
  3. Indian passport number.
  4. Non-Indian passport number.
  5. PAN card number.
  6. Aadhaar enrollment number.

It's important to note that candidates who opt not to utilize DigiLocker or ABC ID for registration must arrive at the examination center one hour before the scheduled entry time on the exam day. These changes aim to streamline the application process and enhance the experience for all JEE Main 2024 candidates.

Mode of Payment

  • The application fee can be paid via online payment gateways using Debit Card/Credit Card, or Net Banking. 
  • Candidates can also pay the application fee by cash using e-challan at any of the ICICI, Canara, and Syndicate Banks.
