The elements in the periodic table are grouped into four main blocks based on the number of electrons in their outermost shell. These blocks are:

• S-Block
• P-Block
• D-Block
• F-Block

s-block Periodic Table Elements

If the periodic table were a city, the s-block would be a small neighborhood filled with similar houses and properties. The s-block is located to the far left and consists of two groups.

d-block Periodic Table Elements
