CBSE 2024 Board Exams: Special Tests for Athletes and Olympians in Class 10th and 12th, Important Notice

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced a significant initiative to accommodate students engaged in national or international sports events and international Olympiads. These special exams will be scheduled at a later date, ensuring that students do not miss out on academic opportunities while pursuing their sports and educational aspirations.

Supporting Sports and Education

CBSE's decision to conduct special exams stems from a desire to support young individuals who excel in both sports and academics. This initiative aims to strike a balance between education and extracurricular achievements, allowing students to participate in sports and educational competitions.

Eligibility for Special Exams

To be eligible for these special exams, certain criteria must be met:

  1. Recognition: The sports in which students participate should be officially recognized by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Similarly, the Olympiads they are involved in should be acknowledged by the Homi Bhabha Center for Science Education (HBCSE).
